CEI Sr. Inspector
Your Impact
Supervises subordinate inspectors responsible for monitoring work quality and performance
Reviews project activities with contractor's field supervision to resolve disputes and other project issues
Read and Interpret contract plans and specifications
Read and interpret construction contract language
Possess current material testing certifications as applicable for earthwork, asphalt, concrete, pile driving, drilled shafts, etc
Material testing and documentation of acceptance
Inspection of and documentation of contractors quality of work
Review/coordinate and prepare responses to project correspondence, RFIs and technical submittals
Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
- 7+ years of CEI and construction experience on road and bridge infrastructure DOT projects are preferred.
- Willingness to work weekends, nights, and swing shifts as required on assigned projects.
- Requires progressive work related experience.
- Work requires ability to gather and understand technical data for purposes of generating advanced technical reports.
- Must have the ability to interpret plans, standards and specifications.
- Good understanding of construction specifications and plans.
- Must have the ability to perform mathematical calculations.
- Must have a working knowledge of Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of DOT specification and standards is required.
- Able to effectively lead a team of inspectors.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record

Physical Requirements
- Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, stoop, crawl, and lifting.
- Lift and/or move light equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Must be alert to equipment in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
