Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time CEI Senior Project Engineer/Resident Engineer to join our team in Tampa/Wellington, Florida (in-office).
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the overall management and successful delivery of multi-million-dollar projects
- Acting as the primary liaison with contractor(s) on behalf of the Client/Owner, as part of a CEI team representing the Owner
- Leading a project team consisting of project controllers and inspectors responsible for contract administration and construction materials testing
- Managing day-to-day activities such as progress meetings, submittal and RFI reviews, contractor pay applications, quality assurance testing and inspection, schedule reviews, and progress reporting
- Coinciding with designers to resolve technical/engineering issues
- Performing other duties as needed
Qualifications
- Education and Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license in State of Florida, Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, 10 years of related experience in various aspects of construction, including: Estimating, Bidding, Preparing purchase orders and subcontracts, Scheduling, Field engineering, Prior Resident Engineer experience on FDOT projects, Experience developing and managing construction engineering and inspection programs
- Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of FDOT standards, requirements, and procedures, Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Experience with Bluebeam, estimating & scheduling software, and web-based document collaboration software
- Communication Skills: Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and people skills
