CEI Senior Project Engineer
About the role
Neel-Schaffer is a dynamic engineering firm based in the Florida Panhandle, offering a collaborative and client-focused environment. We are seeking a CEI Senior Project Engineer to lead complex and specialized construction engineering programs.
Responsibilities
- Directing highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection programs.
- Planning and organizing the work of team members.
- Developing and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
- Mentoring and training professional and inspection staff.
- Reviewing programs for conformance with department standards.
- Interacting and engaging with clients as project needs dictate.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida or the ability to obtain endorsement within six months of employment.
- Six years of engineering experience with two years in relevant transportation projects.
- Master’s degree in Engineering may substitute for one year of engineering experience.
- Five years of experience for Complex Category 2 (CC2) and PTS bridge structures may be considered.
- Ability to interact and engage with clients as project needs dictate.
- FDOT Advanced MOT certification preferred, or ability to acquire certification within six months of employment.
- CTQP Quality Control Manager certification preferred, or ability to acquire within six months of employment.
- CTQP Final Estimates 1 & 2 preferred, or ability to acquire within six months of employment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Strong verbal communication and analytical skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of six years of experience in civil engineering, including at least two years in relevant transportation projects. A Master’s degree in Engineering may substitute for one year of engineering experience. Additionally, the candidate should possess a valid driver’s license and be proficient in Microsoft Office products.
