CEI Senior Bridge Inspector

About the role

As a CEI Senior Bridge Inspector, you’ll be able to demonstrate a successful career in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection. The Inspector will be responsible for inspecting construction work and conducting field tests for compliance with contract documents. Provide support to various project procedures, particularly in documentation development for the final estimate package.

Responsibilities

On-site inspection of roadway and bridge construction, monitoring on-site construction activities, supervising day-to-day activities of inspection staff, reviewing reports from inspection staff, and writing summary reports of all construction activities. Assist with conducting inspections, observations, and running materials tests, and checking construction work. Maintain detailed records of daily operations.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Four (4) years of CEI experience in roadway or bridge construction
  • Must have the following certifications as required by the scope of work for the intended assignment on the project at the time of NTP:
    • CTQP Final Estimates Level I
    • CTQP Concrete Field Technician Level I
    • CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level II (Bridges)
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
    • CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level II
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
    • CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level II
    • CTQP Pile Driving Inspection
    • CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection
    • Nuclear Radiation Safety
    • Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record

Work Environment

This field job primarily operates in outdoor work environments that may include exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements. While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle. This job may require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
