CEI Inspector —Knoxville, TN Hourly Rate Range: $27 - $32/HR plus OT, depending on experience and certifications TTL is seeking a CEI Inspector to join our team in Knoxville, TN. This role will be responsible for supporting roadway construction inspection, materials sampling, inspection and testing on projects throughout Tennessee. The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience working on DOT projects and experience managing CEI projects and supervising inspectors. Build your Foundation. Build your Future. What You'll Do Monitors, observes, and records the work performed daily on Roadway and Bridge construction projectsFollow proper procedures, perform accurate computations, and maintains cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.Typical activities include but are not limited to: observation and monitoring grading operations, asphalt and concrete inspection, utility inspection, subgrade material inspection, and/or any additional roadway or bridge construction operation inspection Requirements Minimum high school diploma required. 2+ years of experience providing construction engineering inspection services on TDOT or TDOT Local Programs projectsAbility to communicate professionally orally and in writingValid drivers license and good driving recordProficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft ExcelProficient in SiteManagerPossess sufficient stamina to work in outdoor (hot & cold) environmentPossess the ability to lift and/or carry 30+ lbs on varying terrains Required Certifications 10 Hour OSHA Construction SafetyWork Zone Safety Certification Preferred Certifications TDOT HMA Certified Roadway TechnicianTDOT Asphalt Plant Technician TDOT Certified Concrete Technician or ACI Grade 1TDOT Hazardous Materials or APGNA Nuclear Gauge Safety or equivalent*TDOT Soils and Aggregate Technician or equivalent*Can be obtained once employed at TTL Job Type: Full-time This position is subject to a pre-employment drug and motor vehicle record check TTL is an EEO/AAP employer
