About the role

The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Responsibilities

  • Expertise in the specific area of lymphoma, histiocytosis, and Castleman's Disease.
  • Board certification or board eligibility in Medical Oncology.
  • Teaching responsibilities including teaching hematology/oncology fellows, medical residents, and medical students.
  • Providing education, mentorship, and research support to hematology/oncology fellows.
  • Clinical responsibilities including care of patients with lymphoma, histiocytosis, and Castleman's Disease in an outpatient setting and as an attending on the inpatient service at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP).
  • Evaluating patients for autologous stem cell transplantation and other cellular therapies.
  • Developing and growing an independent research program in translational malignant hematology.
  • Developing ongoing clinical and research programs for Castleman's disease, working closely with the Castleman's Disease Collaborative Network in the recruitment of patients, both for clinical information and biobanking.
  • Creating a framework for clinical and translational research in histiocytic disorders.

Requirements

Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have an established record of independent funding, high impact publications, and a strong national/international reputation.
