Basic Job Functions
- Responsible for the set-up, operation, and basic maintenance on the equipment.
- Daily preparation of high-purity semiconductor compound.
- Affords assistance with quality control procedures to meet product specifications.
- Maintains general housekeeping and cleanliness in the production area.
Education/Experience
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A 2-year technical degree is preferred.
- Two years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment are required.
- High purity materials experience is preferred.
- High temperature furnace experience is preferred.
- Metals processing experience is preferred.
- Power processing experience is preferred.
Required Skills/Competencies
- Basic mathematic skills to apply to statistics.
- Ability to understand and apply TOC and SPC concepts.
- Production machine/system operating experience.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or chemical systems.
- Able to perform light PM’s.
- Audit shift data for quality check.
- Basic computer skills i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Demonstrates FS core values through behaviors.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operates assigned Maltz equipment and performs tasks related to the Maltz process, following established procedures that are outlined in the work instructions.
- Adheres to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
- Follows all EHS procedures regarding hazardous materials.
- Works in a team environment to optimize the output of the Maltz while maintaining a high-quality product and minimizing scrap.
- Follows all quality control procedures.
- Reports production accurately on both manual and electronic systems.
- Ensures the equipment is running properly and performs light maintenance and PM’s as required.
- Works with engineering and/or maintenance team to run tests, identify/troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and identify/troubleshoot quality deviations.
- Weighs materials for processing.
- Loads and unloads furnaces.
- Maintains environment to prevent cross-contamination.
- Packages finished product for storage.
- Performs daily shift pass-downs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Reporting Relationships
Reports to Supervisor- Technical.
This position will not have direct reports.
Travel
0% - 5% (On occasion/as needed for training, etc.)
Estimated Salary Range
$17.84-$25.00 hourly US
Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing & Maintenance Physical Requirements:
- Sit, stand, or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.
- Climb stairs on a frequent basis.
- Lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction.
- Lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis.
- Push or pull up to 27 pounds of force on an occasional basis.
- Push or pull up to 10 pounds of force on a frequent basis.
- May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses, hearing protection).
Physical Demands
- 20/40 vision in each eye (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required.
- May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Able to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, cut resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses, hearing protection).
Additional Information
All associates working on the production floor may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (require little or no facial hair).
