CDM Certified dietary manager

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team at Spring Hill Rehabilitation & Nursing Center in Pittsburgh, PA.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct food service operations to meet the dietary needs of patients
• Supervise a team of dietary staff, provide training, and guidance
• Maintain accurate records and reports related to food service operations, including inventory and menu planning
• Develop and implement menus that meet patient dietary needs and preferences
• Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies, such as the Joint Commission and state health department
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care and services
• Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, adhering to infection control and safety standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a Dietary Manager in a healthcare setting
• Must possess a manager-approved Serve Safe certificate
• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in nutrition, hospitality management, or a related field preferred
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of dietary regulations and standards, such as HIPAA and FSA
