CDL - Truck Driver - Local

About the role

Richards Building Supply Co. is seeking a CDL Class B Driver for their Kankakee, IL location. The ideal candidate should have a CDL Class B or Class A license with an Air Brake endorsement and experience operating a semi truck with Moffett and/or knuckleboom/crane.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver products to job sites
• Physically unload materials as per customer requests
• Receive materials in the warehouse
• Load trucks according to weight limits
• Process inventory

Requirements

• 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience
• Moffett and/or knuckleboom operating experience preferred
• Crane (OSHA Certified) experience highly desired
• Current DOT medical card
• Clean driving record
• Must be at least 23 years old
• Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day
• Some lifting over 100 lbs. may be required

Qualifications

• CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license
• Experience operating a semi truck with Moffett and/or knuckleboom/crane
• Strong preference for previous experience with these equipment types
• Ability to drive a manual transmission
• Pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen
