CDL Truck Driver
About the Role
Operate a large commercial vehicle, such as a tractor-trailer, safely and efficiently while transporting goods and equipment across short and long distances. Perform pre-trip inspections, cargo securement, and adhere to strict driving regulations.
Schedule
- 4 weeks ON, 2 weeks OFF (60 hours per week with opportunity for more)
- 36 weeks ON and 17 weeks OFF (22% more time off)

Responsibilities
- Competently operate a tractor-trailer
- Receive, inspect, and transport equipment, material, and cargo
- Properly secure and tie down cargo and heavy equipment
- Use small hand tools and operate material handling equipment
- Verify material descriptions, quantities, and quality of goods
- Safely and efficiently handle and unload goods at selected destinations
- Ensure trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit
- Assist in mapping delivery routes
- Confirm contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Current Class A CDL
- Current DOT Medical Card
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Current and valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Current OSHA 10 and Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) certificates or ability to obtain upon hire

- Knowledge of Hazardous Materials, MSDS, and other pertinent Safety Regulations
- Ability to use time efficiently to complete projects on time
- Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment
- Ability to handle stress and maintain a positive attitude in challenging situations
