CDL - Reefer Truck Operator (Class A Hazmat)

As a CDL A Reefer Hazmat Truck Driver, you'll transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials, assist crews with supportive tasks, and contribute to solving critical infrastructure challenges in a safety-first, fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport liner materials under refrigerated conditions.
  • Monitor freight throughout the trip.
  • Load and unload trailers, with or without mechanical handling equipment, either independently or with assistance.
  • Record hours of service via an electronic log.
  • Maintain vehicle interior and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform visual inspections of assets before, during, and after shifts.
  • Report vehicle or equipment damage to maintenance using an electronic log.
  • Demonstrate safe driving skills in diverse conditions, including heavy traffic, inclement weather, and tight spaces.
  • Complete accurate documentation for inspection reports, work orders, shipping documents, and project notes.
  • Immediately communicate any accidents or incidents.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL A with Hazmat endorsement.
  • 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving, preferably with Jet/Vac, Boiler, or Reefer trucks.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test, DOT physical, and driver’s license check.
  • Willingness to work overtime and travel out of town as needed.
  • Capability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces if necessary.
  • Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles.
  • Strong physical stamina and focus for long driving shifts.
  • Experience operating electric lifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and similar equipment.

Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work typically include Monday through Friday but may require shift work, weekends, evenings, holidays, and flexibility based on job demands. Travel may be required depending on operational needs.
