About the role

Operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. Perform driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up, both on and off customer sites. This position may require travel, on-call availability, and emergency response.

All new hires must attend a two-week training academy; travel expenses are paid by the company.

Hourly pay range: $28.00 - $29.00

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
  • Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a team atmosphere.
  • Operate a variety of Class A trucks, including loading and unloading.
  • Perform manual labor on-site to fulfill customer needs.
  • Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements and regulations.
  • Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
  • Follow all local, state, provincial, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, provincial, and federal requirements.
  • Observe all corporate operating guidelines, procedures, and environmental health and safety guidelines.
  • Be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week (by position).
  • Perform site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handle hazardous materials (by position).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission.
  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
  • Ability to use various mobile devices.
  • Perform physical functions as required by the job.
  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical (by position).
  • Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators must meet facial hair standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Commercial driver experience.
  • Previous Hazmat experience.
  • Previous manual labor experience.
