Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL License
• Minimum two (2) years of practical trucking-related experience that demonstrates instructional competency
• Safe CDL A driving record as determined by the SAGE Safety Department
• Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of safe truck driving and all laws and regulations covering tractor-trailer interstate operations
• Capability to demonstrate the SAGE curriculum subject matter for students
• Professional, respectful, motivated, mature, and safety-oriented attitude
• Knowledge, skill, and performance abilities that exceed the curriculum objectives
• Ability to communicate instructions, assess student performance, and guide students on maneuvers during 4 to 12-hour shifts
• Compliance with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, including physical and driver qualification standards of Part 391
• Ability to pass a D.O.T. drug/alcohol screen
