CDL Log Truck Operator

Location: Nashville, TN (on-site)

About the role

The Davey Company is seeking a CDL Log Truck Operator to support Utility Line Clearance operations.

Responsibilities

• Transport wood using a logging truck equipped with knuckle-boom and grapple-loader configurations
• Operate chainsaws and polesaws to assist with cutting wood as needed
• Assist tree crews as required
• Perform daily inspections, maintenance, and operation of the log truck
• Maintain DOT compliance and reporting standards

Requirements

• Proven work experience with log truck operations in the tree industry
• Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B)
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire
• Love of the outdoors

Preferred Qualifications

• Line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®
