Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain vacuum trucks and other equipment to perform waste system maintenance and repair
- Perform general diagnostic, maintenance, and repair to waste systems, including grease interceptors, storm water management facilities, oil/sand interceptors, elevator shaft pits, ejector systems, septic tanks, and sewer lines
- Knowledge of Federal Department of Transportation Regulations and any other governing jurisdiction or disposal facility that affects our work
- Working knowledge and understanding of waste systems, including but not limited to grease interceptors, storm water management facilities, oil/sand interceptors, elevator shaft pits, ejector systems, septic tanks, and sewer lines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Requirements
- CDL Class B license with tanker’s endorsement or CDL Class A license with tanker’s endorsement
- DOT Medical Card
- 1+ years’ experience in use and operation of the vacuum trucks our the fleet
- Ability to drive, lift and operate heavy tools and equipment
- Knowledge of general mathematics and language abilities
- Ability to supervise and direct an apprentice or another vacuum truck operator
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
