About the role
Operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. Perform driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up, both on and off customer sites.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed in a team atmosphere.
- Operate a variety of Class A trucks, including loading and unloading.
- Perform manual labor on-site to fulfill customer needs.
- Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations.
- Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
- Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
- Observe all corporate operating guidelines, environmental health, and safety operating guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including on-call emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
- Perform site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and handle hazardous materials (by position).
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to use various mobile devices.
- Perform physical functions per job requirements.
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical (by position).
- Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators must meet facial hair standards.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Commercial driver experience.
- Preferred: Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
- Preferred: Previous Hazmat experience.
- Preferred: Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Preferred: Previous manual labor experience.
Pay
Recruiting pay range: $27–30+ hourly, depending on experience.
