Responsibilities

• Drive to and from designated locations, transporting soiled linen and delivering clean linen products to hotel customers, while verifying loads and adhering to state and Federal Regulations.
• Perform a variety of tasks, including conducting Pre & Post Trip Inspection of truck, assisting dispatchers and weighmasters, loading clean linen into trucks, communicating customer concerns or complaints, completing trip sheets, reporting any and all mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Operate truck lift gate and back-up trucks correctly and safely into tight places, and push/pull cars loaded with linen weighing approximately up to 700 pounds.
• Communicate customer concerns or complaints promptly to Production or Logistics Manager on duty.
• Interact with hotel staff and perform assigned duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications And Minimum Requirements

• Must possess a valid Commercial Class A or B Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma (or equivalent) is a must.
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a commercial truck.
• Able to follow maps or directions to meet destination in a safe and efficient manner.
• Able to understand and complete basic math.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Exceptional customer service is mandatory.

Job Specific Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a commercial truck.
• Able to operate truck lift gate and back-up trucks correctly and safely into tight places.
• Able to push/pull cars loaded with linen weighing approximately up to 700 pounds.
• Able to understand and complete basic math.
• Able to follow maps or directions to meet destination in a safe and efficient manner.

Pay

• Starting rate of no less than $32.00/hr.
• Sign on bonus of up to $2,000! with the first $1,000 payable only after 6 months.
• Overtime pay starts at $48.00 per hour.
• Rate increases and/or bonuses may be offered at the Company's discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill, and tenure.

Schedule

Morning or afternoon shift available. May include working on the weekends or during Holidays.

Physical / Mental Requirements

• Able to operate truck lift gate and back-up trucks correctly and safely into tight places.
• Able to push/pull cars loaded with linen weighing approximately up to 700 pounds.
• Able to understand and complete basic math.
• Able to follow maps or directions to meet destination in a safe and efficient manner.
• Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
• May be at an industrial setting with heat/cold and distracting noise levels.

Work Environment

• The working environment is typical of an industrial facility including noise and vibration.
• An employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
• Personal Protective Equipment will be required for certain tasks.
