  Responsibilities

  • Drive to and from designated locations, transporting soiled linen and delivering clean linen products to hotel customers, while verifying loads and adhering to state and Federal Regulations.
  • Perform a variety of tasks, which may include conducting Pre & Post Trip Inspection of truck, assisting dispatchers and weighmasters, loading clean linen into trucks, interacting with hotel staff, communicating customer concerns or complaints, completing trip sheet, reporting any and all mechanical issues, accidents and/or incidents involving drivers or company equipment, and reporting any delays to supervisor/manager.
  • Operate truck lift gate and back-up trucks correctly and safely into tight places.
  • Able to push/pull cars loaded with linen weighing approximately up to 700 pounds.
  • May be at an industrial setting with heat/cold and distracting noise levels.

  Qualifications And Minimum Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Commercial Class A or B Driver’s License
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) a must
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English. Exceptional customer service is mandatory.

  Job Specific Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of experience driving a commercial truck
  • Able to follow maps or directions to meet destination in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Able to understand and complete basic math

  Physical / Mental Requirements

  • Assigned duties are accomplished primarily driving the truck and an industrial setting.
  • Able to operate truck lift gate and back-up trucks correctly and safely into tight places.
  • Able to push/pull cars loaded with linen weighing approximately up to 700 pounds.
  • May be at an industrial setting with heat/cold and distracting noise levels.

  Work Environment

  • The working environment is typical of an industrial facility including noise and vibration.
  • An employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
  • Personal Protective Equipment will be required for certain tasks.

  Work Hours

  • AM and PM shift available

  Wage Information

  • The wage is no less than $28.50 per hour.
  • Overtime pay starts at $42.75 per hour.
  • A higher rate than $28.50/hour may be offered, the overtime rate will be calculated 1.5X the offered hourly rate.
  • Employees who work 5:00 pm onwards on weekdays or anytime on the weekends will receive an additional $1.50 shift differential on top of their hourly rate.
  • The Company's pay period starts on a Sunday and ends on a Saturday.
  • A single work week will be used to compute the wages due.
  • Our payroll period is weekly, and workers are paid on the following Thursday after the end of the pay period.
  • Rate increases and/or bonuses may be offered at the Company's discretion, based on individual factors such as performance, skill, and tenure.

  Other Duties As Requested

  • Participate fully in company health and safety programs and comply with all company OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Follow all lawful employer safety and health rules.
  • Wear and / or use Personal Protective Equipment, when and how instructed.
  • Report hazardous conditions to management.
  • Report any job-related injury or illness to management and seek treatment promptly.
