About the Role

Rexel USA is one of the largest distributors of electrical products, data communication, wireless communication and related supplies in the United States, operating through eight regions and over 460 warehouse storefront locations nationwide. This position is based in Tampa, FL.

Responsibilities

• Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects; complete a daily inspection report.
• Keep company vehicle clean, serviced, and maintained; alert supervisor of repair and/or service needs.
• Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local and state driving laws and regulations.
• Load or unload vehicle; ensure all material for each order is correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure.
• May assist in preparing orders for delivery.
• Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including delivery receipt signed by the customer, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest.
• Pick up material returns from customers; inspect condition of material and verify quantities and catalog numbers.
• Pick up material from company suppliers.
• May perform other job functions within a branch when required, including but not limited to counter sales, preparing and filling orders, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 7+ years of driving experience and 1+ years of CDL driving experience preferred, or 1+ years of CDL driving experience required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• At least 21 years of age.
• Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
• No driver's license suspension for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years.
• No at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
• Ability to handle loads with a combined weight of 26,000 GVW.

• Ability to work overtime as needed.
