CDL Driver (Heavy Haul)

About the role
We are seeking experienced Truck Drivers to join our field operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in keeping our projects running smoothly by safely transporting equipment, materials, and water to job sites while supporting crews in the field as needed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure project safety and health is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and procedures, including client standards and requirements
- Operate a water truck safely and efficiently to support dust control and site needs across active construction projects
- Haul small equipment and materials for delivery to job sites, ensuring loads are properly secured and transported in compliance with DOT regulations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs promptly
- Assist general laborers and equipment operators as needed during construction activities
- Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery records, and documentation as required by project and regulatory standards
- Utilize proper PPE for all activities and maintain a clean, professional presence on the job site
- Travel to extended project assignments as required (travel compensation available for qualifying assignments)
Requirements
- Current valid Class A CDL driver's license with a clean driving record
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience, preferably in a construction or heavy civil environment
- Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements
- Ability to safely operate water trucks and haul equipment on varied terrain and job site conditions
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a field crew
- Ability to travel for extended project assignments
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical
