About the Role
Stallion is looking for a CDL Driver - Class A with no restrictions to join our team and safely transport shipping/connex containers to and from customer sites. This driver will operate a pick-up truck with a gooseneck, primarily working locally with occasional day trips and returning home every night. When not driving a CDL-required truck, the driver may operate a Route Service truck.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport products and rental assets (e.g., light towers, generators, solar security trailers, luxury restroom trailers) to and from various locations.
- Safely load, unload, and provide services for customers.
- Follow DOT requirements and ensure compliance with company and regulatory health, safety, and environmental standards, including completing daily Job Safety Analysis, pre/post-trip inspection reports, near miss and hazard reports, and accurate daily driver logs.
- Read, operate, and understand electronic maps, GPS, and dispatching systems using a phone or iPad.
- Perform physical requirements of the job, including prolonged exertion such as lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing.
- Maintain proper working and safety conditions of the truck and equipment.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work in diverse environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures, weather variations (heat, cold, snow, rain, wind), noise, vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust.
- Possible exposure to high-traffic conditions outside the vehicle.
- Position involves outdoor work and/or driving a GPS-monitored vehicle.
- Physically able to push or pull 50 pounds unassisted 25–50 times per day.
- Physically able to lift 50 pounds from the ground to waist height unassisted 25–50 times per day.
- Physically able to get up and down from the cab of a commercial motor vehicle 30–50 times per day.
- Physically able to bend at the waist and knees 120–150 times per day.
- Physically able to reach overhead, pull down using 20 pounds of force, and secure straps.
- Physically able to climb up to 8 feet in height to attach straps.
Requirements
- Age 21 or above.
- At least one year of experience.
- TWIC card preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class A with no restrictions) and a medical DOT card.
- Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record meeting fleet insurance requirements (no more than 3 moving violations in the past 3 years).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background screen and DISA drug and alcohol screen.
