Loenbro Pipeline Group is seeking a CDL Driver to deliver equipment, machinery, parts, and materials to construction project sites. Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, reload, and deliver product or equipment to various destinations, including lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying items weighing up to seventy-five pounds.
  • Unload trailers and reload with equipment or other items being returned to various locations.
  • Control and document all applicable written reports and procedures.
  • Hook and unhook diverse types of trailers.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the truck’s exterior and interior.
  • Ensure loads are properly secured and all securement devices are in good order.
  • Handle and accurately complete all necessary paperwork related to truck operations and product movements, including state and county permits.
  • Inspect truck/trailer(s) for defects and safe operating condition before, during, and after trips, and submit written reports on their condition.
  • Check shipping papers to determine the nature of the product, destination, and special unloading instructions.
  • Ensure all shipping documentation is available for inspection and accompanies shipments upon delivery.
  • Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver’s logs, fuel purchase records, and mileage records.
  • Report all accidents involving the driver, company equipment, or private property to the immediate Supervisor, Safety personnel, or DOT Compliance person.
  • Report all safety hazards to the immediate Supervisor or Safety Personnel.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure loads are secured correctly and all required wide load signage and flags are in place.
  • Drive trucks in accordance with Federal regulations, including no cell phone use unless hands-free and always using seatbelts.
  • Work flexibly in-house when no deliveries are scheduled.
  • Perform all other job duties as assigned.

Essential Duties

  • Wear all required personal protective equipment.
  • Work outside most of the time with potential exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures.
  • Climb up and down stairs and ladders to access trenches and elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights).
  • Lift necessary equipment and materials (1-50 pounds) 50% of the time monthly for required tasks.
  • Walk on uneven terrain, averaging two miles per day.
  • Use of respirator if required by the position.
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors.
  • Periodic requirements to sit, stoop, crawl, stand, and kneel.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability; all drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to use basic hand tools.
  • 2 years’ experience in heavy equipment/forklift operating.
  • Ability to perform pre-trip inspections to ensure loads are secured correctly.
  • Ensure all required wide load signage and flags are in place and visible.
  • Maintain truck/trailer and all safety equipment in proper working condition.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Current/valid medical card or ability to obtain one.
  • Class A CDL is required.
  • OSHA10 certification preferred.
