CDL Driver - Class A

About the role

American Biosoils & Compost, LLC, a partner of H&K Group, Inc., is seeking motivated Class A and B CDL drivers with manual experience to join their team. This position emphasizes reliability and attentiveness, with daily responsibilities including maintaining a truck log and truck condition.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to MSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Drive truck to destination
• Prepare receipts for load pickup
• Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations and company policy
• Maintain telephone or radio contact with supervisor for delivery instructions
• Load and unload truck
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water
• Perform daily pre and post trip of vehicle
• Tarp all loads when public roadway travel is necessary
• Trim all loads prior to tarping when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (such as the GED)
• Class A CDL with 1 year of commercial driving experience OR Class B CDL with 1 year of triaxle driving experience
• Manual transmission experience
• Clean driving record
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

Preferred Skills, Education, And Experience

• 3 years of commercial driving experience
• Strong preference for 3 years of triaxle driving experience
• Hazmat and Tanker Endorsement
• TWIC card
• Experience working in heavy civil construction, road construction, or quarries
• MSHA, OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
