About the role
As a CDL Driver, you’ll be a vital part of both the sales and service teams—hauling equipment for demos, transfers, and customer deliveries. This role goes beyond driving; it’s about representing the company with professionalism, staying organized, and ensuring every delivery is safe, on time, and customer-focused.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport equipment for deliveries, demos, and transfers
- Provide excellent customer service with a positive and professional attitude
- Communicate effectively with the sales team regarding delivery readiness or changes
- Assist with move sheets, demo forms, purchase orders, and related paperwork
- Maintain safety standards and follow company procedures at all times
- Support sales and service teams by washing incoming and outgoing equipment
- Ensure all tasks are completed in a timely, organized, and professional manner
- Perform follow-up as needed to ensure customer satisfaction
- Mechanical experience is a plus and may be utilized as needed
Requirements
- Current CDL license
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of how to load both small and large equipment onto a flatbed trailer and tie it down appropriately
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used for hauling and remaining compliant
- Ability to operate the machines when loading and unloading
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., operate a forklift and pallet jack, and be aware of safety compliance
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated with high energy, yet also perform as a team player
- Reliable, dependable, and efficient
- Professional, positive attitude and good customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed, including varying shifts, evenings, and weekends
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: At least 1-3 years’ experience driving/hauling
- Preferred: 3 years’ experience with flatbed hauling and tie-down of large and oversized equipment
- Preferred: 3 years’ experience with hauling and loading heavy equipment or large agriculture equipment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach as needed for driving, loading, unloading, and securing equipment
- Requires use of hands for driving controls, tools, computer, and phone
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs., including small, mid-, and large equipment, and perform tie-down tasks
- Requires close vision for reading and visual checks, and sufficient hearing for communication in person, over the phone, and via radio in active work environments
- Ability to work in office, vehicle, shop, and outdoor environments in varying weather conditions
- Ability to travel to company locations, customer sites, and job sites as required
