About the role
As a CDL Driver, you’ll transport oversized and overweight loads, ensuring safe, efficient deliveries with a customer-first mindset. Responsibilities include relocating units, performing set-ups and knockdowns, installing value-added features, and maintaining containers. You’ll interact regularly with customers, assist with cleaning and light repairs, and coordinate with dispatch and operations. Steady, year-round work with a Monday–Friday schedule and home every night.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and drop off portable containers and offices at customer locations
- Perform cleaning and light repairs on containers in the yard or at customer sites
- Maintain compliance with required safety equipment and gear
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections; report mileage for compliance
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and conduct spot inspections for cleanliness and hazards
- Provide customer service at drop/pickup sites and communicate issues to sales/operations
- Frequently update dispatch or operations on trips, delays, or issues
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent verifiable Class A driving experience
- Ability to work varied shifts, including early morning starts
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder level
- Experience operating a winch and related tractor/trailer equipment
- Proficiency in securing loads with straps and tie-downs
- Must adhere to grooming standards (e.g., clean-shaven for safety equipment in some roles)
- Pre-employment drug testing, including marijuana (safety-sensitive position)
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis (no visa sponsorship)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous container hauling experience
- Landoll trailer experience
