Summary/Objective

The driver is responsible for transporting finished product to the customer. Essential Functions

• Observance of all safety rules and policies maintained by the company;
• Preparation of finished product for transportation through appropriate stabilization and safety procedures;
• Delivery of finished windows to customer following approved delivery routes and specified delivery areas;
• Unloading of finished windows at appropriate destination through approved procedures;
• Coordination of necessary paperwork at the time of departure, at time of delivery, and at time of return;
• Receipt and delivery of miscellaneous goods as is necessary or assigned;
• Rotation of position into production team structure as necessary;
• Assistance in repair work as necessary;
• Maintenance of good housekeeping practices at all times

• Ability to read and process written communication including, but not limited to, work orders, and measurements;
• Able to meet production goals and time deadlines for company projects;
• Able to work with minimum supervision;
• Demonstrated competency in transportation and over-the-road responsibilities;
• Demonstrated welding competency and knowledge of welding systems;
• Able to rotate to other production positions as the need arises or as is deemed necessary;
• Able to operate a Lift Truck or Tractor as necessary;
• Successful problem solving skills;
• Exhibiting tact and diplomacy and maintaining professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.;
• Able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
• Able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.

Qualifications

• Lift Truck Operators License preferred (training available).

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk and hear;
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling;
• Lifting and/or moving items over 50 pounds;
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus;
• Personal Protective Equipment supplied by the company includes: Coating suit, Coating Boots, Spray Socks, Respirator, Work Gloves, Safety Glasses and Ear Plugs. Employees may be required to provide additional Protective Equipment (Safety Shoes, etc.).

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work

This is a full-time position.
