Requirements

• Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with clear MVR and DOT record
• Must be 21 years old or older
• Must have current and valid Medical Certification Card
• Must have held CDL driving position the previous year with consecutive driving experience
• Must have high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions
• Must have the ability to repeatedly lift up to 100 pounds of material for extended periods of time
• Able to bend, reach, lift, and climb
• Able and willing to climb on a rooftop and ensure proper stacking (location based)
• Able to climb a 40’ ladder (location based)
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain the cleanliness of vehicles
• Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S

Qualifications

• Education, Experience, and Licensing: Valid state CDL Class A or B Driver’s License with clean driving record including: Less than three points or one violation No DUI or DWI within the last three (3) years No revocation or suspension of Driver’s License Read, write, and comprehend English or Spanish as required by the branch location. Knowledge of roofing material and/or construction and distribution. One (1) year of driving experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions. Ability to bend, reach, lift, and climb Must lift up to 100 pounds of material continually for up to two hours at a time. Ability to work on multi-story building at various heights. Ability to work in hot, cold, rain or shine. Requires high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of the vehicle to ensure proper delivery while preventing damage to materials and equipment. Ability to maintain loyalty to Gulfeagle Supply. Ability to interact with the public in a courteous and professional manner. Tact and diplomacy required in dealing with customer personnel at delivery points. Ability to handle all functions of the job in a safe manner. Must meet Department of Transportation’s physical and medical requirements Must pass substance abuse screening; employees are subject to random substance abuse screening under company policy.
