CDL Driver

Position Summary

The CDL Truck Driver will operate various types of trucks to provide waste removal services, ensuring safe and efficient operations while maintaining a positive community presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs pre/post trip inspections and maintains vehicle appearance according to company and regulatory standards.
• Operates trucks safely in residential and commercial areas, including navigating high traffic zones.
• Provides courteous and timely service to customers, maintaining a positive attitude.
• Completes required paperwork accurately and cleans up spillages.
• Attends training programs and participates in meetings.
• Notifies dispatch of any issues and actively contributes to the community.

Career Path Definitions & Distinctions

• Apprentice: Completes helper safety and customer service training, obtains CDL permit.
• Class I Driver: Completes route sheet for 1 LOB, demonstrates ability to operate various trucks.
• Class II Driver: Completes route sheet for 2 LOBs, demonstrates ability to operate 2 types of trucks.
• Class III Driver: Completes route sheet for 3 LOBs, demonstrates ability to operate 3 types of trucks.
• Lead Driver: Develops training plans, coaches employees, completes route sheets for all LOBs, provides excellent customer service.

Education, Experience & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A or B CDL License.
• At least 18 years old.
• Legally eligible to work in the US.
• Physical ability to handle heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective listening and problem-solving skills.
• Team-oriented and open to personal and professional development.

Pay

New Starting Pay Rate for Qualified Candidates! The starting hourly rate is $25 per hour.
