Position Summary
The CDL Truck Driver will operate various types of trucks to provide waste removal services, ensuring safe and efficient operations while maintaining courteous and timely customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs pre/post trip inspections and maintains vehicle appearance according to company and regulatory standards.
- Operates trucks safely in residential and commercial areas, including navigating high traffic and congested roadways.
- Provides excellent customer service through courteous interactions and timely service.
- Completes assigned paperwork accurately and cleans up after waste removal.
- Attends and participates in training programs and meetings.
- Notifies dispatch of any service issues and demonstrates awareness of surroundings.
- Participates in learning opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Career Path Definitions & Distinctions
- Apprentice: Completes helper safety and customer service training, obtains CDL permit.
- Class I Driver: Completes route sheet for 1 LOB, operates various truck types.
- Class II Driver: Completes route sheet for 2 LOBs, operates various truck types.
- Class III Driver: Completes route sheet for 3 LOBs, operates various truck types.
- Lead Driver: Develops training plans, coaches employees, completes route sheets for all LOBs.
Education, Experience & Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Class A or B CDL License.
- At least 18 years old.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Physical ability to handle heavy objects and work in various weather conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective listening and problem-solving skills.
- Dedication to providing excellent customer service.
