About the role

You will ensure the safety of each delivery from departure to completion, handling both ground and rooftop deliveries. Responsibilities

  • Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Conduct a safe work zone during each job site.
  • Adhere to assigned delivery schedule and follow all job directives precisely.
  • Document every step of each delivery by taking and uploading photos with our camera phone system.
  • Complete a thorough load check on your truck before leaving the branch, ensuring all delivery materials are firmly secured and all parts of your truck comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Work in cooperation with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set materials and unload them.
  • Complete and file all logs and required government paperwork in a precise and timely manner.
  • Provide the customer with an invoice on completion of each delivery and collect the entire due amount on COD deliveries.
  • Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials.

This position does not require over-the-road travel.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL – Class A or B.
  • Ability to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (most common cargo is 70-pound bundles of shingles).
  • Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
  • Pre-employment and random drug screens are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Conveyor truck experience.
  • Drywall boom truck experience.
  • Semi tractor and trailer experience.
  • Trailer-mounted forklift experience.
  • Crane certification.
