About the Role
The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies, Federal, and State regulations, ensuring all freight is delivered undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of others.
- Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Report all accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
Requirements
- Stamina to lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs. for loading/unloading.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional attitude.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Minimum Class B, Class A strongly preferred.
- Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

Physical Requirements
- Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
- Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs. for loading/unloading.
- Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs. while unloading flatbed.
- Constantly move from unloading materials from the vehicle onto the job site.
- Operate commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle constantly.
- Position self to unload materials from flatbed or boom.
- Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom.
- Work constantly in an outside environment while making deliveries.
