CDL Class B Energy Delivery Driver

About the role

The Energy Delivery Driver serves as the Company’s customer-facing representative during deliveries of product to residential and commercial tanks, with local deliveries made daily to homes and businesses.

Pay

$25–$30 per hour.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of driving experience preferred
  • Class B Commercial Driver’s License
  • Hazmat Endorsement
  • Tanker Endorsement
  • Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of computers
  • High level of customer service focus
  • Clean driving record
  • Current CTEP certification or ability to obtain it
  • Ability to work independently in all weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
  • Repetitive lifting of approximately 40 lbs; occasional lifting up to 60 lbs and pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs
  • Physical ability to bend, kneel, twist, crouch, walk, and sit for long periods
  • Ability to tolerate heating oil odor/fumes
  • Ability to back truck into driveways
  • Willingness to comply with random DOT drug and/or alcohol testing

Responsibilities

  • Deliver heating oil to residential and commercial tanks
  • Maintain DOT physical card and Class B (minimum) CDL license compliance
  • Comply with safety regulations and be safety conscious
  • Complete all training successfully and on schedule
  • Load and unload tanker truck (2,800–4,500 gallons)
  • Maintain accuracy in paperwork and digital processes (load records, manifests, delivery tickets)
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and maintain truck cleanliness
  • Sustain open communication with dispatch to ensure delivery and inventory records are accurate
  • Work overtime and some weekends during heating season
  • Participate in 24-hour emergency on-call rotation
