CDL Class A Truck Driver
Job Responsibilities
- Haul material to and from various jobsites including gravel, sand, dirt, recycled concrete and other aggregate material.
- Perform routine inspections of equipment before and after use according to DOT and company maintenance checklist.
- Auxiliary work assisting heavy-haul drivers as needed with transporting equipment and material such as pipes, CONEX-boxes, form systems, etc.
- Maintain loads securely in or on the vehicle. May involve tying ropes or securing chains around the load.
- Keep records, logs, and inspection reports.
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- 3-5 years of previous experience as an aggregate or material driver.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Experience operating a truck-and-trailer configuration (End Dump/Belly Dump), tandem experience is a plus.
- Safe operation of assigned vehicle and load.
- Emergency roadside repair responsibilities, including changing tires, installing light bulbs, and installing spark plugs.
- Lifting up to 100 lbs. or more as necessary.
- Awareness and compliance with DOT regulations and traffic rules.
- Adherence to company safety policies.
