CDL Class A Route Driver

Route Driver responsible for operating a collection truck to collect product from customers while providing quality service.

Schedule

• Sunday night to Thursday night
• Starting time between 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 10 – 12 hours per shift

Responsibilities

• Pump or load grease containers; ensure cleanliness of container and surrounding area; return container with screen and lock secured; note any damages to container or corral area; properly complete route ticket with customer signature
• Responsible for established route as assigned
• Responsible for company vehicle; keep vehicle in clean condition
• Conduct all safety checks and inspections of vehicle; operate vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures; observe all company safety rules
• Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee
• Maintain excellent customer relations by presenting professional appearance and attitude
• Complete all company-required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc.)
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report on a daily basis
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years old with clean MVR
• Current CDL A license holder with tanker endorsements
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior route experience within a customer-oriented environment
• Works well with others in a team environment
• Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed
• Good math and communication skills
• Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance
