We focus on offering great opportunities for self-motivated and ambitious CDL A Local Reefer Drivers in Indianapolis, IN. Drivers will haul freight within a 400-mile radius of Indianapolis and return home, with routes spanning IN, IL, KY, OH, MI, MO, TN, WI, and WV. This position offers competitive pay, reliable home time, and a transparent work environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate Freightliner M2 Reefer Trucks and Conventional Tractors with automatic transmissions
• Perform out-and-back runs with 10-hour rests, often requiring overnight stays (typically two overnights per week)
• Complete 3-10 stops per day, delivering palletized freight to grocery warehouses and retail chains
• Unload pallets using a manual pallet jack; occasional pallet breakdown and hand unload required
• Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain compliance with testing and physical requirements
• Work flexible routes and schedules, including some weekend and holiday shifts (off on Thanksgiving and Christmas)
• Start shifts between 12 AM - 5 AM, with workdays typically lasting 12-14 hours

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid CDL A license (CDL B drivers are encouraged to apply for other opportunities)
• 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• Air-brakes endorsement required
• No more than 6 points on driving record at one time
• Must pass DOT physical, pre-employment drug screen, and meet DOT regulations
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Must live within 60 miles of Indianapolis, IN, or be willing to relocate

Pay

• Average Annual Earnings: $90,000 - $100,000+
• Base Rate: $29.00/hour with 55-60 average hours per week
• Overtime paid after 40 hours worked
• Scheduled annual pay increases

Schedule

• Dispatch Monday - Saturday, with schedules varying 5-6 days per week
• Workweek starts Sunday night/Monday morning

• Home multiple days each week, with two overnights out per week
• Hotel accommodations provided if not in a sleeper cab
