CDL B Truck Driver - Flatbed, Pennsylvania Steel Co., York, PA

About the role

Pennsylvania Steel Company Inc., a leading distributor of steel and aluminum in York, PA, is looking for a Class B licensed driver to safely operate a commercial flatbed vehicle to transport and deliver material to our customers. We are veteran owned business with 12 locations and over 50 years in the industry. Responsibilities

• Safely deliver steel products to loyal customers across Central PA
• Secure loads and perform full pre-trip/post-trip inspections
• Verify count and condition of materials when loading and unloading
• Report vehicle maintenance needs
• Comply with DOT regulations
• Maintain a clean driving record
• Communicate and cooperate with supervisors and coworkers
• Build relationships with great customers who count on your professionalism
• Represent Pennsylvania Steel with pride, courtesy, and safety on the road

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class B License
• Clean driving record and current medical card
• 2+ years of CDL B experience preferred
• Ability to handle physical tasks including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, assisting customers with unloading material, and securing loads
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and background check
