Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform pre-trip inspections, including verifying routes, checking product counts, and completing safety checks in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
- Safely drive and deliver customer orders while following all federal, state, and company protocols.
- Maintain proper load temperatures as specified in product specifications.
- Unload products by hand or using a hand truck and place items in designated customer storage areas.
- Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, collect payments (when required), and communicate discrepancies or returns.
- Manage backhauls in accordance with dispatch instructions, jurisdictional compliance, and load efficiency.
- Complete post-trip tasks, including unloading returns, submitting paperwork and payments, vehicle safety check, and secure parking.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, handling any complaints professionally and effectively.
- Promptly report accidents, injuries, or equipment damage.
Requirements
- Minimum age: 21 years old.
- Valid CDL License.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to step up 17 inches and climb up to three rungs of a ladder.
