About the role
This role involves operating company vehicles requiring a CDL Class B license, transporting equipment and crew members, setting up and operating industrial cleaning equipment, and performing manual labor tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles requiring a CDL Class B in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- Transport equipment and crew members safely to and from job sites.
- Arrive at job sites on time, in uniform, and ready to perform assigned duties.
- Set up industrial cleaning equipment including water blasting and vacuum systems.
- Operate water blasting equipment such as hoses, guns, and lances for cleaning applications.
- Operate wet and dry vacuum systems using large-diameter hoses to remove debris and waste.
- Perform manual labor tasks using tools such as shovels, picks, and other hand equipment.
- Follow all MPW Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment prior to returning to the branch.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding job progress and safety conditions.
- Travel to various job sites, including out-of-state assignments as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class B license with acceptable driving record in accordance with company standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience may be considered.
- 2–3 years of experience operating commercial vehicles, industrial equipment, or performing manual labor preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform continuous physical work.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb, and work in confined spaces regularly.
- Ability to wear respirators and required PPE in environments with exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, and extreme temperatures.
- Willingness to travel for extended periods (days to weeks), work overtime, and maintain a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
