CDL B DRIVER & Counter Sales

About the role

This is a Home Daily position with a reliable Monday - Friday schedule starting at 8:30 AM, with occasional weekend support. It offers a balanced 40-hour workweek and a sustainable work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Sells medical, industrial and specialty gases, welding equipment and hard goods and tools to customers.
• Supports and guides both walk-in and phone-in customers, ensuring their needs are met with excellent service.
• Contributes to delivery operations by operating a 20-ton truck loaded with compressed gas cylinders, liquid cylinders, and goods for delivery to customers on scheduled or unscheduled routes.
• Drives a CDL B truck to ensure products reach the community safely.
• Assists customers by understanding their goals, helping them identify the right products, and locating merchandise to ensure their success.
• Processes payments for merchandise or services, accurately entering sales into the system.
• Manages payments and contributes to administrative and accounting processes.
• Wraps and bags purchases and assists customers with loading merchandise into their vehicles.
• Follows all safety procedures to ensure the well-being of the team.
• Maintains a welcoming and professional showroom environment for the team and guests.
• Safely loads, delivers, and unloads hard goods and cylinders, fostering strong relationships with customers.
• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any needs to ensure equipment remains in excellent working order.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements. Hazmat is required.
• Appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements.
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accidents in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years.
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years.
• Able to work in a drug-free environment.
• Able to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with the aid of material handling equipment.
• One (1) year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include forklift experience and sales experience.
