CDL B Driver / Counter Sales

About the role

We are hiring for a Counter Sales/CDL Driver position in Clearwater, FL. This role involves supporting and guiding customers, operating a 20-ton truck for deliveries, and maintaining a welcoming showroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Sell medical, industrial, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and hard goods to customers
• Support walk-in and phone-in customers
• Contribute to delivery operations by operating a 20-ton truck
• Operate a CDL B truck safely to deliver products to customers
• Assist customers by understanding their needs and helping them locate products
• Process payments for merchandise or services accurately
• Wrap and bag purchases and assist customers with loading merchandise
• Showroom environment maintenance
• Load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders safely
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT & Airbrake endorsements
• Candidates must currently have their Hazmat endorsement
• Appropriate driver's license, medical card, and endorsements
• No more than two (2) traffic convictions or a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
• No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
• Able to work in a drug-free environment
• Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months

Pay
