About the role
Food and food-service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure customers’ products arrive at their destination on time and in good condition while serving as the face of our company, building lasting customer relationships. The CDL-B Driver operates a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and unloading food and food-related products in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Drivers communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers, perform safety checks, and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre- and post-trip safety inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards; report safety issues or required repairs.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe-driving guidelines; immediately report safety hazards.
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; verify counts and customer invoices.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and legibly.
- Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined route schedules; unload products and transport items into designated customer storage areas.
- Perform damage control checks, scan items, and follow company policy for removing orders.
- Verify deliveries with customers and obtain signatures; collect payments where required.
- Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors; ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are locked/secured at all times.
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns at driver check-in; complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload equipment and materials, remove trash from trailers, and maintain cleanliness of tractor, trailer, and loading dock area.
- Complete daily hours-of-service logs in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties and secure all equipment at shift end; complete all required paperwork.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Valid CDL-B license.
- Must be 21+ years of age.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Pass post-offer drug test, criminal background check, and road test.
- Valid/current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
- Able to hand-lift and use equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move and stack product cases/freight weighing 10–90 pounds throughout shift.

Pay
Average annual earnings: $75,000.
Schedule
- Monday–Saturday.
- Dispatch between 3:00 AM – 6:00 AM.
