Responsibilities

  • Complying with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditor standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Receiving in-bound inquiries and conducting outbound phone calls and emails to prospective students.
  • Assessing and interviewing prospective students to determine their needs and goals.
  • Assessing the prospective student’s ability to meet Federal Motor Carrier regulations, therefore determining eligibility for employment in the transportation industry.
  • Developing referrals and personal leads.
  • Conducting tours of the campus facilities, communicating features and benefits related to prospective student interest and program offerings.
  • Discussing payment options such as third party financing, in-house financing, workforce service/state agency funding, federal and state grants, vocational rehabilitation, veteran’s administration, private pay.
  • Following up on all inquiries that fail to schedule an interview or fail to show for an interview.
  • Enrolling students who meet eligibility requirements, completing all required forms for enrollment and orientation.
  • Developing and implementing a plan to follow up on those who enroll to confirm they start on their scheduled start date, that all admission paperwork and requirements are completed.
  • Making sure to meet or exceed enrollment objectives.
  • Preparing and compiling all documents in student file for the first day of class.
  • Providing employer and placement information to students and accurately recording in Student Management System.
  • Updating and completing student transcripts and preparing graduation certificates.
  • Accounts Receivables/Payables:
    • Preparing invoices to students, agencies, and other trainees.
    • Processing receipt of checks, cash, and credit card charges.
    • Affirming and managing accounts payable invoices.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior post-secondary education experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including problem solving and conflict resolution.
