CDL-A Yard Jockey Details: Reporting Location: York, PA Pay: $28 per hour Overtime: Available Schedule: Four or five 12-hour shifts per week Shift: 4:00 PM–4:00 AM Weekend Requirement: Saturday or Sunday availability is required Drivers Needed: 3 Route Type: Onsite yard operations Equipment: Ottawa yard truck and 53-foot dry van trailers Freight: Food and beverage products, corrugated materials, and retail goods; no livestock Handling: No freight loading or unloading Automatic-Only Drivers: Accepted Temp-to-Hire: Yes CDL-A Yard Jockey Minimum Requirements: Valid CDL-A At least 2 years of recent, relevant, and verifiable commercial driving experience Yard-jockey or Ottawa truck experience preferred Clean Motor Vehicle Record Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements Ability to work overnight and weekend shifts CDL-A Yard Jockey Responsibilities: Safely operate an Ottawa yard truck Move and position 53-foot dry van trailers throughout the facility yard Complete drop-and-hook assignments Chock trailers and confirm they are properly positioned Sweep trailers when needed Conduct equipment inspections before and after each shift Follow all yard and facility safety procedures Maintain accurate movement records and communicate effectively with onsite leadership Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Paid Time Off 401(k) Referral Program Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.
