CDL A Yard Driver / Spotter

Keep the yard moving with NFI’s dedicated dry van fleet, safely spotting trailers and moving them in and out of dock doors. Operate late-model equipment and enjoy home-daily schedules.

Pay

Average pay of $21.50–$22.50 per hour (based on a 40-hr workweek).

Local routes with home daily.

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Current Class A CDL or Non-CDL eligible
• Minimum six months of relevant tractor-trailer experience
• Acceptable references from past employers

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties safely and responsibly
• Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or customer rules, standards, and guidelines
• Physically capable of moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequently use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Report all problems with equipment, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during, and after the route
• Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
• Perform routes, pickups & deliveries based on customer requirements
