CDL A Yard Driver

Responsibilities

• Move and operate tractor/trailer
• Walk the yard to identify and document vehicle defects
• Communicate maintenance needs to D&S Team Leaders
• Obtain tractor/trailer list from D&S, record odometer, hub readings, and engine hours from equipment, and send to lease company
• Ensure trailers loaded with refrigerated products are at an adequate temperature
• Auxiliary trailer loading/unloading assistance
• Reposition tractor/trailers on the yard to and from docks
• Comply with Domino’s Chock, Safety Cone, and Dock Signal Light policy
• Shuttle tractor/trailers to and from logistic suppliers
• Assist with trailer washing and cleaning
• May assist drivers on designated routes
• Listen to and timely assist management and Drivers

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least 21 years old
• Six months of verifiable CMV driving experience, one year preferred
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License [CDL] with Air Brakes
• Maintain a DOT Med Cert
• Meet defined MVR standards to remain qualified to drive company commercial motor vehicle
• Pass a background check every third year on your anniversary date
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as short notice

Qualifications

• Physical requirements: Stand and/or walk for long periods, lift up to 100 lbs. frequently, work in refrigerated conditions, outdoors, and around loud machinery
