About the role
Responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products from the warehouse to customers by operating tractor-trailers, ensuring proper delivery, unloading, and adherence to safety and food handling protocols. Deliver products, unload trailers manually or with equipment, and place items in customer storage areas per specifications. Complete all required paperwork accurately, including logs, inspections, and invoices, ensuring compliance with regulations. Maintain food safety standards, inspect products, and keep tractor and trailer sanitary. Build positive customer relationships through courteous service and effective communication. Operate various delivery vehicles, including tractor-trailers and straight trucks, in different conditions and terrains. Follow DOT and Hazmat guidelines, handle hazardous materials safely, and perform basic math and organizational tasks. Meet physical demands such as lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, reaching, and working in diverse environments. Maintain alertness, adhere to safety regulations, and perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of driving experience preferred or completion of a driving school
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Knowledge of DOT and safety protocols
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to operate various delivery equipment and read/write in English
