CDL-A Trainee Truck Driver – Paid Mentorship Program

About the Role

Launch your trucking career right out of Crawford County with our structured Paid Mentor Program. We are hiring entry-level CDL-A drivers in Van Buren, Fort Smith, and the surrounding River Valley area. This program provides training, assigned modern equipment, and guaranteed weekly pay to help you transition safely to solo earnings. No physical unloading, no unpaid waiting weeks, and no hidden catches.

Training Program

• 4 to 6 Weeks Paid Mentorship: Gain real-world OTR experience driving alongside a professional mentor.
• Guaranteed Pay: Stable, predictable weekly pay throughout your entire training period.
• Instant Progression: Move to full solo mileage rates as soon as you complete the mentorship.
• $300 Paid Orientation: Transportation and hotel accommodations are fully covered.

Equipment & Freight

• Your Assigned Truck: Late-model (2022 or newer) Kenworth or Freightliner with automatic transmission and APU.
• No Slip-Seating: The tractor is assigned strictly to you—no switching trucks.
• 100% No-Touch Freight: Dry van loads, roughly 70% drop-and-hook.
• Miles: 2,200 to 2,800 miles per week average on established routes East of I-35.

Schedule

12 Days Out / 2 Days Home: Consistent OTR schedule originating out of the Van Buren/Fort Smith area.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL and DOT Medical Card.
• Graduate of an accredited CDL program (120+ hours) OR under 6 months of recent OTR experience.
• Clean driving record.
• Must pass standard background check and pre-employment drug screening.
