CDL A Regional Delivery Driver

About the role

As a Regional CDL A Delivery Driver at Gordon Food Service, you will build relationships with customers while delivering food products essential to regional chain restaurants. Night shifts and regional routes mean you’ll be home most nights, with 1 or 2 overnights required each week. You’ll unload cases up to 100 lbs using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout your shift. Newly licensed drivers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
• Read, write, and communicate in English to handle labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company information, and paperwork
• Follow verbal instructions and complete delivery documentation

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire
• Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• Ability to pass a drug test (including marijuana) and background check
• Registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with electronic consent

Pay

• Drivers average $75,000 - $85,000/year
• Guaranteed minimum of $1,250/week
• Daily base pay plus component pay for every mile driven, stop made, and case delivered

Schedule

• 4-day work week with overnights (Monday-Friday)
• Start times vary
• One and two-day routes
• Overnights spent in a hotel paid for by GFS
