CDL A or B Driver

HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Nitro, WV is seeking a Class A or B CDL Driver to join its safety‑conscious team. The driver will safely execute HPC Industrial jobs across all service lines, supervise single‑task crews, and complete turnarounds with management oversight at client sites in accordance with client, business, and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Act as safety representative, overseeing safety policies and procedures for both the company and the customer, including hands‑on guidance on operations, equipment, emergency response, and administrative functions.
• Operate pumping equipment and vacuum trucks; examine surfaces cleaned to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment used on the job.
• Direct a crew of vacuum technicians as needed.
• Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations.
• Complete pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, driver’s logs, and comply with all vehicle policy and DOT requirements.
• Load and unload hoses, unload vacuum trucks at dump sites, and provide general field maintenance.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Specific vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on‑the‑job training, and relevant experience.
• English language proficiency sufficient to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions.
• Valid CDL Class A or B driver’s license; HAZMAT and tanker endorsements preferred.
• Smartphone for Electronic Logging Device (ELD) use.
• Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) may be required.
• Knowledge of emergency equipment operation (e.g., fire extinguishers).
• Experience operating a vacuum truck and working knowledge of wet and dry vacuum equipment.
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
