About the Role

FirstFleet Savannah runs dedicated bakery freight for a long-term customer with over 30 years of consistent volume. This role offers stable, year-round work with no seasonal swings or port congestion, ensuring predictable paychecks and home time every night.

Pay

$1,200–$1,500/week average gross pay, with weekly pay via direct deposit. Additional pay protections and bonuses include:

• Detention pay after 1 hour
• Stop pay
• Weekly fuel-efficiency bonus
• Quarterly safety bonus

Schedule

• AM dispatch: 1:00–3:00 AM
• Home daily—sleep in your own bed every night
• Training starts on night shift, then transitions to AM dispatch
• Earn 5 days of PTO after 90 days

Responsibilities

• Mostly drop & hook freight with limited touch freight
• Touch freight: 1–2 times per week, unloading 15–30 stacks of bread with a hand truck (some weeks may have zero touch-freight stops)
• Backhauls included

Requirements

• 21+ years of age
• Class A CDL, valid in your state of residence
• 1 year of verifiable experience
• No DUI/DWI in the past 5 years
• No chargeable DOT-reportable accidents in the past 3 years
